Sundip Murthy is a Principal of the 3i Group based in New York.  Prior to joining 3i, Sundip was a founding member and Senior Vice President of the US buyout consumer/retail practice of The Carlyle Group.  Previously, Sundip was a Vice President at Ripplewood Holdings where he worked on private equity investments in the industrials, financials and telecom sectors in the US and Japan.  He has previously worked in the Merchant Banking (Principal Investing) and Investment Banking divisions of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in London and New York, respectively.  He has also worked at McKinsey & Co. as a strategy consultant.  Sundip received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and earned a B.A. with highest distinction from Cornell University.
