NYPEN Negotiation Workshop

On Wednesday, July 19th, NYPEN and new sponsor Gerson Lehrman Group are pleased to host an evening workshop on negotiating strategies taught by Don Carlson, a frequent lecturer on negotiation and leadership skills and former Chief Knowledge Officer at Goldman Sachs (bio below).

The workshop will explore the 7 Elements of Principled Negotiation, as developed by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard. After a brief overview of the Principled Negotiation theories/concepts, the session will be devoted to a live-fire negotiation exercise in which participants will try their hand at principled negotiation.

Concepts to be covered include:
*Interest analysis
*Deployment of objective criteria
*Enhancing levels of self-awareness in negotiations

*Time: 6pm-8:30pm (please note the 6pm starting time)
*Location: The Penn Club, 30 West 44th Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues)

Please note that this event, like all NYPEN events, is by invitation only and open exclusively to professionals at private equity and venture capital funds. If you have colleagues at your fund or at other funds who you would like to invite, please have them register for NYPEN membership at www.nypen.org.
