Summary:

The personal financial planning needs of private equity professionals are unique due to significant personal exposure to the alternative asset class, access to high yielding investment options and high net worth.  Mr. Hornstein will offer a framework for thinking about common questions, including how much to co-invest in one’s fund, evaluating other alternative assets and customized portfolio diversification strategies.  The discussion will touch on recent academic work on portfolio construction and asset class performance.  Mr. Hornstein will also review several tax planning strategies appropriate for private equity professionals.
