The New York Private Equity Network (NYPEN) and Ernst & Young LLP are pleased to invite you our upcoming Accounting and Tax educational session, "Introduction to Financial Due Diligence Fundamentals", to be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

The discussions will be led by professionals from Ernst and Young's Transaction Advisory practice. The session will center around finance and accounting concepts commonly encountered while assessing a target's financial performance.
 
What You Can Expect to Learn:
-   Understanding of basic financial due diligence objectives, areas of focus and risks (including identifying potential deal breakers and assessing the sustainable level of earnings)
-   Fundamentals of assessing an entity's quality of earnings (QofE) and quality of net assets (QofA).
-   Incorporating due diligence findings into the investment thesis and valuation model.
-   Use of  QofE and QofA findings in connection with purchase price negotiations.
