The New York Private Equity Network, Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Ernst & Young LLP invite you to a seminar on "Estate Planning with Private Equity" by two of the leading experts in the field on Thursday, July 12, 2012.

We are all busy creating the most tax efficient structures for our funds and transactions and limiting the potential liability of our portfolio companies.  In our personal life, however, many of us are not as diligently following these principles.  We will discuss, using a hypothetical private equity professional who is married, has two young children, and will be allocated a portion of the carry in the next fund:
· How to transfer PE interests to creditor-protected trusts for your children, free of gift/estate tax
· How to efficiently use the gift tax exemption that expires at the end of 2012
· What documents and structures should be in place to provide for your family

The Seminar will be lead by:
· David A. Handler, Partner, Head of the Trusts and Estates Practice Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP
· Michael Ban, Principal and US tax expert for Personal Income Tax and Trust and Estate Planning of Ernst & Young LLP
