Don (bio below) teaches courses in leadership, negotiation skills, emotional intelligence (EQ) and conflict management at global financial and educational institutions. He also advises entrepreneurs, growth stage companies, private equity firms, and venture investors on business and legal strategies.

Presented By: Don Carlson
Don Carlson is the Principal of Carlson Consulting. He is an active angel investor and serial entrepreneur. He teaches courses in leadership, negotiation skills seminars, emotional intelligence (EQ) and conflict management. He advises entrepreneurs, growth stage companies, private equity firms, and venture investors on business and legal strategies. He has interest in mediating complex disputes for clients. Don was the Founding Partner of The Forefront Group Ltd, a NYC firm specializing in venture law. He has recently consulted on venture finance; crowd funding; the secondary market provisions of the JOBS Act; and opportunities for disrupting the legal services industry. Don works with renewable energy companies (HelioSage, Sungevity, Deepwater Wind) and teaches courses on sustainable business models. He has served as the CEO of Matterhorn Data and Business Intelligence Advisors, and as a Head of the Financial Institutions division at Axiom Legal. Earlier in his career, Don trained as a negotiator with the Harvard Negotiation Project. He currently teaches negotiation and leadership skills at global financial institutions and on the Faculty of Bard College and Williams College. Don honed his skills as the Chief Knowledge Officer for the Investment Bank of Goldman Sachs; Chief of Staff to the General Counsel at Goldman; Head of New Business Development for the Corporate Executive Board (EXBD), through the company's IPO in 1999; and as a Trial Lawyer at Williams & Connolly.
