The New York Private Equity Network ("NYPEN") is pleased to invite incoming Private Equity Associates to a virtual event: Incoming PE Associates: Words of Advice from Industry Veterans to be held on Monday, August 9th at 6:30pm.
 
Accomplished private equity investors Natasha Kingshott and Evan LePatner will share how they approached their time as Associates, their subsequent career paths and what they believe distinguishes star Associates on their teams. In addition, HSP founder Eleni Henkel will draw on years of placing Associate-level professionals to share insights as to what has distinguished the most successful professionals. Panelists:
  • Evan LePatner is a Partner with Gamut Capital Management, where he serves as sector lead of consumer/retail, general industrials, metals, chemicals, and building products. Previously, he was a principal at KPS Capital Partners LP. Before joining KPS, he was an associate at Kohlberg & Company LLC and an analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Citigroup Global Markets Inc. He currently serves as a board member of the Mount Sinai Children’s Center Foundation, a national board member of the American Enterprise Institute’s Enterprise Club, on the Leadership Giving Council of the Yale Alumni Fund, and on the advisory board to the New York Private Equity Network. Evan received a BA with distinction in political science from Yale University.
     
  • Eleni Henkel is the Founder & CEO of Henkel Search Partners. She has led hundreds of searches for many of the most sophisticated and prestigious investment firms in the industry. Eleni was previously a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where she spent close to 25 years in a variety of positions, including client-facing roles within Healthcare and Capital Markets. Prior to transitioning to the search business, Eleni had global responsibility for the firm’s Analyst and Associate programs. Eleni received a BA in Economics and French Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth Colllege and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
     
  • Natasha Kingshott is a Vice President at American Securities, where she focuses on the Industrials sector. Prior to joining American Securities, she was an Associate in private equity at The Blackstone Group. She began her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in the Consumer Retail Group. Natasha received an AB in Government from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
