Overview
Audit committees around the globe have adjusted to the increased focus on financial management and are now taking a broader oversight of risk, according Ernst & Young’s 2006 Global Audit Committee Survey and Industry Insights: Audit Committee Perspectives.

About the Roundtable
Karole Lloyd, Vice Chair of Ernst & Young will lead a discussion around the changing role of audit committees and the issues private equity professionals need to understand to more effectively serve their portfolio companies. Discussion topics will include:
•What are the primary functions and typical activities of audit committees?
•What are the key differences in responsibilities between public and private boards and audit committees?
•What are some of the non-financial risks boards and audit committees should consider?
•How do you determine that your information needs are met? What resources do you use to ensure you have considered the full breadth of issues facing a company?
•What factors should be considered in the composition of the Audit Committee (including diversity, rotation and qualifications of audit committee members)?

Space is extremely limited for this event.
The discussion is targeted towards professionals who currently serve the board(s) of directors of their firms’ portfolio companies (with a focus on financial and risk oversight functions in particular).
